Where's the Path?

Every human is on a spiritual path. Some of us found a place where we are comfortable and have stopped there. Paths are not for stopping on. Paths are our way to pursue a successful journey. Maybe a short rest from time to time but no stopping. That's not why we are here.

Why are we here? We have volunteered to be part of an exceptional experiment. We don't remember volunteering and most of us are unaware of the nature of the experiment. Here is what you bought into a long time ago....

Of all the life-forms in the Universe humans are unique. Most of the others understand the Cosmic laws of cause and effect (Karma) and live peacefully and harmlessly because of this understanding. They don't injure or kill one another. They don't steal from one another. They understand the effects these actions have when they are balanced out. With them it is all mental; it's in the 'knowing'. They do not understand even the concept of Love. This is where we are unique. This is what the experiment is all about. We volunteered to demonstrate to everyone else in the Cosmos that we could keep from harming anything and still get our needs met by using the principle of Brotherly Love; love for each other, Love for the Earth and the other kingdoms. (How are we doing?)

There are many non-humans who are very interested in how the experiment is working. Some have incarnated on Earth to see the experiment first hand. In order to do this they agree to forget everything they know, just as we do when we incarnate. (You gotta want it.) Many in the spiritual heirarchy are frustrated with our progress. Some are in favor of scrapping the whole thing as unworkable and "stopping" the experiment. Thankfully, they have so far been persuaded not to.

Back to the 'path'. I mentioned that some people have stopped their progress. let me describe them. Some have decided that God does not exist. Some have become members of religious organizations and either through fear or through self-righteousness think that they know all they need to know to get through their life successfully. In their vernacular, if the Holy Spirit was to scream in their ears something which didn't fit into their accepted dogma, they would never hear it. So how do you keep going (on the path)? You keep an open mind; you listen; you watch; you read; you think. You come to the point where you understand that no matter how much you know, there is always more. All of the Christian religions came about because people, in one religion, thought there was a better way and formed another religion. At least they were questioning what they believed. As far as the 'path' goes, however, they went from being stuck over there to being stuck over here.

Keep an open mind. Know that we are part of a wonderful plan. If you are not now a 'seeker' become one. Trust your intuition to lead you from one stepping stone to the next. Once you begin this pursuit, your higher self will continually place books, people, or other items in front of you. Keep what seems right to you. Reject what seem wrong. Remember those things you come across that you don't understand at first. If they are for you, the time will come when they make sense.

This is a wonderful post! I'm on the spiritual path and am therefore a "seeker". I am without religion, however.

I see you haven't updated your blog in a long time. If you ever start to update it again, email me because I'd love to stop by more frequently. Have fun!
